20MPH uses more fuel and exhaust as your engine struggles between 2nd and 3rd gear and actually causes MORE exhaust than driving at 30mph. FACT.
This redundant scheme is NOT about saving lives, saving the planet or anything else as science tells you THIS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA.
But as usual the council likes wasting money and to be seen to be doing something rather than house the homeless - clean up the town centre - sort out the many closed and closing business's and care from the elderly - just waste hundreds of thousands on these silly projects that cost a fortune, serves no one and just gets some councilors name in the paper.
BAD IDEA.
